HOMESCHOOL COURSES

George L. Heinrich has taught ecology-based courses to students in the Tampa Bay region of Florida for over twenty years.  He is a popular instructor at two secular homeschool co-ops: Love of Learning Families and Tampa Homeschoolers Instructing and Nurturing Kids (THINK), where he has taught since 2008 and 2013 respectively.  The following courses are currently in rotation:

• Biogeography (scientific study of the geographic distribution of plants and animals; ages 9-13)

• Earthlings (introduction to natural history; ages 4-6)

• Exploring Nature through Literature (introduction to environmental literature; ages 7-11)

• Herpetology (scientific study of amphibians and reptiles; ages 7-11)

• Mammalogy (scientific study of mammals; ages 7-11)

• Turtle Science (study of multiple science topics using turtles as a model; ages 7-12)

• Wildlife Ecology (scientific study of the relationships between living things and their environments; ages 7-11)
